INFORMATION
ACRO, a Japanese company that has collaborated with many well-known prototype designers to launch many exquisite monster models, will launch a new "Ultraman" themed product in its "Kaiju Remix Series" (KRS) in collaboration with James Groman, a toy designer and artist who has been very popular in recent years. The "Red King" (レッドキング) soft-gel model has a reference retail price of 25,000 yen per turn and is expected to be released in May 2025!
The "Skeleton Monster" Red King first appeared in the 8th episode of "Ultraman" broadcast in 1966, "Monster Nowhere Zone". It is a powerful monster that lives on Tadara Island with monsters such as Chandra. It has amazing arm strength and is good at using its proud wrist strength to throw stones, headbutt and collide. It is very ferocious in nature and even killed the smaller Pigmon with a stone attack.
James Groman accepted the invitation from ACRO without hesitation. He combined his childhood love and understanding of the Ultraman series with his own unique style to recreate the Red King, one of his favorite classic monsters! This time, the Red King soft-gel model is about 30 centimeters tall. He is sculpted to look like a Michelin baby, with more ferocious fangs and sturdy arms. The texture details of the rough skin inside and around his bloody mouth are quite amazing!
The paint part is based on light brown, and the paint is deepened in the grooves of the body's skin to enhance the overall three-dimensional sense. The small pupils on the yellow eyes make him look more ferocious, and the yellow paint on the edges of the claws and fangs presents a realistic biological sense, showing the charm of the Red King with a strong style!
