Date Masamune (1567–1636) was one of the most influential daimyo of the Tohoku region during the late Sengoku period, Azuchi-Momoyama period, and early Edo period, hailed as a "warlord of the Sengoku period." He was not only a military strategist but also a political mastermind, his life filled with legendary tales. He was also a historical figure of great strategic vision, political agility, and cultural openness.
Palm Hero presents the fourth figure in its 1/12 Scale Palm Hero Japanese Samurai series – Date Masamune. This time, the head sculpt utilizes a semi-implanted hair technique to further recreate the historical image of the figure. His serious expression and signature "one-eyed dragon" feature are also presented! Date Masamune's "one-eyed dragon" image is not only a physical characteristic but also a symbol of his personal charisma and the legend of the Sengoku period.
Date Masamune wears a black helmet, with a mask armor providing robust protection. The mask armor seamlessly integrates with the shoulder armor, body armor, and skirt armor, demonstrating a perfect combination of form and function. Leg armor and shields complete this meticulously crafted protective gear, impervious to blades and needles, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship consistent with the samurai's courage. Underneath the armor are black trousers with gold patterns and a white blouse! Above the armor, a jinhaori (bamboo robe) represents his domineering power and unstoppable momentum on the battlefield. Straw sandals, each step a testament to the samurai's simple yet disciplined lifestyle.
Date Masamune wields a metal samurai longsword and a short sword; each draw is a renewed declaration of loyalty and honor.
In addition, he is equipped with a series of meticulously crafted accessories: a battle flag with a flagpole and base; a baton for commanding the battlefield; a folding chair for brief respite in turbulent times; a chest, a command fan, an armor rack, and a sword holder for storing armor and samurai weapons.
