Indignation (Bronze Version) (Manas SUM)

Sideshow and Manas SUM are excited to present the Indignation (Bronze Version) 1:6 Scale Statue. 

Inspired by a deeply moving episode in the original Journey to the West: Sun Wukong "kills" the White Bone Demon, leading Tang Sanzang to sever their master-disciple bond in a fit of rage. Overwhelmed with grief and anger, Wukong returns to his home on Mount Huaguo, only to find it ravaged by hunters—its once-vibrant vitality gone. Enraged, Wukong slaughters countless hunters with falcons and hounds. This is the moment depicted by Liu Dongzi: Sun Wukong consumed by murderous intent.

When Fujimoto Keiki first saw Liu Dongzi’s artwork, he thought this Eastern monkey’s design was incredibly cool and felt a powerful creative spark. Aiming to capture “the frustration of humankind’s utter helplessness against Wukong” and “the determination to seek even stronger opponents, even after battle ends,” Fujimoto transformed Liu’s painting into a dynamic and expressive art sculpture.
