The design intends to reveal Tomie's dual image from multiple angles-both the beautiful female charm and the morbid posture.
The scene is surrounded by finely carved rocks, forming a semi-open space. The rock texture vaguely outlines the shape of a skull, which contrasts with Tomie's beautiful body. Underwater lights fall upward, emitting a faint blue light, further creating an atmosphere.
Through the carefully portrayed characters, the design of half-immersion in transparent materials and the arrangement of lighting effects, the statue reproduces the classic scenes of Junji Ito's works.
