HG 1/144 Ξ Gundam (Bandai)

BANDAI SPIRITS' model kit brand BANDAI HOBBY will release its latest product, "HG 1/144 Ξ Gundam (Circle's Witch Ver.)," based on the anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash and the Witch of Circe," on April 25, 2026. The official website has also released box art, product images, and other information ahead of the release.

The RX-105 Ξ Gundam is a fifth-generation mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics under a top-secret commission from the anti-government organization "Mafadi Nabiyu Erin". This machine boasts an astonishing height of 26 meters and is specifically designed for combat in atmospheric environments. It successfully incorporates an internal Minovsky flight component (as depicted in the theatrical version), an improvement upon the Minovsky levitation system, and a new technology called "Beam Barrier" that reduces drag and allows for supersonic flight. In addition to its basic beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, this machine is also equipped with high-powered weaponry such as the "Induction Missile" (a brainwave-conduction weapon usable in the atmosphere) and the "MEGA Particle Cannon".

The packaging art for "HG 1/144 Ξ Gundam (The Witch of Circe Ver.)" features completely new illustrations depicting the intense aerial battle between Ξ Gundam and Alexandrus from the series. The model kit is a modified version of the standard edition released in 2021, utilizing many new parts to recreate numerous new features from the second movie. These include a beam rifle with a tripod function, a head part revealing the standard Gundam face after being damaged at the end of the series, hands that assist in the unfolding of mechanical claws, and a battle-damaged shield with a color-separated, separate parts design to prevent the beam coating from peeling off, reproducing the marks and charred metallic color of the shield surface after being hit by a beam.

The main body design is the same as the standard version, based on the latest drawings by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME. It not only boasts a powerful size of approximately 18 cm in height, but also meticulously reproduces the engraving details on the surface of each armor piece. It also features excellent articulation, allowing for various combat poses. Furthermore, the full armor and wings have movable mechanisms, enabling it to transform from MS mode into a flight mode with significantly reduced air resistance.
