HG 1/144 DURUN TYPE (Bandai)

BANDAI SPIRITS' HOBBY division has announced a new addition to its "HG (High Grade)" robot model kit series, based on the classic anime "Battle Armor Xabungle": the "HG 1/144 DURUN TYPE," scheduled for release in May 2026.

The " DURUN TYPE " kit, released this time, is a flight-type Walker Machine developed by the enemy faction Innocent at the end of the series. The kit uses completely new parts and the latest color separation technology to reproduce the shape and colors of the machine in the setting, while also possessing modern-level precision and articulation. The top cockpit section not only features details such as the seat, control stick, and pilot figure, but the canopy parts are also made of thin, transparent parts that allow for easy viewing.

The two massive propeller blades at the rear of the fuselage have a rotating mechanism, as do the turret and barrel of the "20mm twin-mounted machine gun" at the front. The body and limbs, resembling engineering machinery, appear simple, but they actually contain a wealth of movable mechanisms, including sliding movable mechanisms for the elbows and waist, and multi-axis movable mechanisms for the wrists and legs. This allows for more dynamic poses than one might imagine, such as flying kicks. It also reproduces the unfolding mechanism of the "5-barreled rocket launcher" hidden in the right palm.

In addition, the accessories include three small Walker Machines of approximately 3 meters in size: "LEGG TYPE", "DUGGER TYPE" and "BURUN TYPE". They are made of single-color molded parts in dark blue, tan, and red respectively, and have intricate details. They can be displayed together with the DURUN TYPE.
